About Brisbane

Brisbane will be the home for the 2032 Olympic games and has a subtropical climate perfect for an outdoor lifestyle. With open parklands and public spaces, world-class sporting facilities, cosmopolitan alfresco eateries and the great Brisbane River at its heart, ours is a city that is meant to be enjoyed outdoors.

  • One hour from famous Gold Coast Beaches and 1 1/2 hours from the Sunshine Coast. You should also bring swimwear as you may wish to visit the wonderful beaches at both the Gold Coast and Sunshine Coast areas on weekends.
  • The summer is very hot (sometimes more than 30o Celcius).
  • Bring light casual clothing.
  • During the winter months (June, July and August) it can be very cool in the mornings and evenings, so bring a jacket or a light coat.
